- Likes: Mountains, pine forests, skiing with my family, laughing until my sides hurt, putting the world to rights over a glass of wine with the husband, my cat Oscar and cuddling up on the sofa watching films from the 80's with my kids.
- Dislikes: OAP's with attitude in Sainsbury's, the M25, sitting in a traffic jam, bad drivers, bad table manners, pears, pineapples and peas (basically any fruit and veg that starts with a "P").
My early career was spent selling frocks for such people as Top Shop and Etam. After many years of my stores being "open all hours" I decided enough was enough and that my aching feet could take no more so I applied for a job in Personnel. Luckily for me I was told that I wasn't suitable for the job on offer but would I like to join the Training Department. To say that I bit their hand off was a bit of an understatement as developing my staff was always my favourite part of the role of a branch manager.
I worked for a number of years as first a Training Officer and then Training Manager until 1997 when I decided to work as a freelance Training and Development Consultant.
My work has taken me all over the country working in many different organisations from retail to logistics, to healthcare, to publishing, to television, to accountancy and many more.
I absolutely love what I do, where else do you get to meet interesting people everyday, have fun, laugh lots and see people start to create the future that they want for themselves.
